The new hotel’s grand opening took place on December 22, 2008. The sister property to Wynn, Wynn Encore Las Vegas, opened for public viewing in January 2007. In the center of the Encore orchestra section, between rows B and E, 101 through 111 seats are located. The sizes of these hotels differ slightly, but for the smallest rooms, typically 745 square feet, and for the most common rooms, 650 square feet.
There are only 2034 rooms at Wynn’s Encore, not the comparable number of rooms at Wynn’s 2716. The theatre is operated by AEG Live and is the venue for the residency shows of Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Lionel Richie, Backstreet Boys, and Gwen Stefani. The theatre opened on December 22, 2008, with a performance by American musician and actor, Jamie Foxx. Encore Theatre Las Vegas is a 3,000-seat theatre located in the Encore Las Vegas hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada.
